Governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ezekiel Nya-etok, has vowed to tackle poverty and also ensure food sufficiency if elected in 2023.Nya-etok stated this during a consultation visit to the palace of the paramount ruler of Uyo local government area recently.The candidate flanked by his deputy, Mr. Uduakabasi Udoma, lamented that despite huge budgetary allocations, the state was yet to address the fundamental problems of the people.Nya-etok said his administration will be for the development of the people, turning them from dependency to self-reliance.The Paramount ruler of Uyo, Edidem Sylvanus Okon, while responding noted that as a monarch, he supports every Akwa Ibom son and daughter without any preferential treatment.
