Akwa Ibom state government has commenced the disbursements of the twenty thousand naira bi-monthly COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus to one thousand nine hundred and fifty beneficiaries.At the flag-off ceremony and disbursement to beneficiaries of social transfer yesterday in Uyo, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr. Ini. Adiakpan, commended the federal government and the World Bank for their efforts in mitigating the negative impact of COVID-19 through people-oriented programmes.She commended Governor Udom Emmanuel, for his commitment and interest shown towards Akwa Ibom COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programmes.
