The APC Governorship Candidate for Akwa Ibom State, Obong Akan Udofia has kicked off his campaigns across Akwa Ibom with a promise to build a new prosperous Akwa Ibom for all.
Speaking to a massive crowd of supporters who attained the APC flag off rally at ikot ekpene, Obong Akanimo Udofia said his aspiration was borne out of a desire to harness the potentials of the state to create shared prosperity for the people.
He said that all his campaign promises were based on things he had already done adding that as a private person, he had employed over 4,000 people and that as governor, he will provide more jobs for the people.
Also at a rally in Obot Akara, Akan Udofia highlighted education, healthcare, infrastructure as critical areas he will focus on as governor.
He promised to pay bursary to Akwa Ibom undergraduate, restore the payment 13 month salary bonus for workers, pay pension to retirees and ensure Local government autonomy for a people-oriented leadership at the grassroot level.
In his remarks, former governor of Akwa Ibom state and APC candidate for Ikot Ekpene senatorial district, Obong Godswill Akpabio told the visible excited crowd that the APC was poised to restore prosperity and sustainable development to Akwa Ibom State.
The director general of the Akan Udofia campaign council, chief Don Etim also spoke to news men.
On his part, the state chairman of APC in Akwa Ibom state, Honourable Stephen Ntukekpo, urged Akwa Ibom people to vote for Obong Udofia and all APC candidate at all levels.
