The 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army, has carried out clean up exercise of Nsit Ibom Council Secretariat and its environs in Akwa Ibom State as part of Exercise Still Water programme.
Report has it that the Exercise Still Water two, which commenced in the State on October 2, will last till December 22, to enhance synergy and inter-agency cooperation in the State.
Similarly, the 2 brigade also conducted sensitization exercise on road safety and security to motorists operating in Itam long-distance park in Uyo, the State Capital.
The Commander, 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Abubakar Wase, who led the exercise, said the sensitization campaign and the clean-up were part of Exercise Still Water.
Wase, who was represented during the sensitization exercise by Lieutenant Colonel. Ezekiel Wakili, Assistant Chief of Staff in charge of Administration and Logistics in the brigade, said motorists around the park were sensitized on dangers of drug abuse, road safety tips, and general security.
He urged drivers and all road users to adhere to road safety rules and regulations, especially as the festive season was fast approaching.
