Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel says more than 128 kilo-meters road projects will be completed in Oruk-Anam Local Government Council before the end of his administration in May 2023.
Speaking at Ikot Ibritam, the headquarters of the Council while conducting newsmen round various road project sites, Governor Emmanuel said the projects were at various stages of completion.
The governor, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Research and Documentation, Mr. Essien Ndueso, said it is the first time in Akwa Ibom State that a governor went out to execute projects in all councils of the state.
Governor Emmanuel also inspected 23.5 kilo-meters Ikot Eka Ideh, Ikot Okoro, Ikot Ibritam road project site, which, he said, was awarded to two contractors; while two bridges on the road were awarded to AMITEK company for speedy completion.
The governor also inspected 18.95 kilo-meters Ikot Ibritam, Inen Ekeffe, Ikot Akpan Afaha project handled by AYF company to ascertain the extent of work done.
He explained that Ikot Akpan Afaha axis of the road has been completed waiting for commissioning.
