The government and people of Esit Eket Local Government Area will on Saturday 1st October,2022 roll out drums to celebrate the 62nd Independence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a release signed by the council chairman, Right Hon. Iniobong Robson and made available to Heritage Radio by the Council Secretary, Pastor John John, the event will commence with a thanksgiving service on Sunday 25th September ,2022 at Mount Zion Congregation Adoronkid, Esit Eket Local Government area at 9am, while the Independence Day Celebration is scheduled for Saturday October 1 ,2022 at Esit Eket Sport at Stadium at 9am.
In the release, the Council Boss invites the political leaders of Esit Eket Local Government Area Elder Benjamin Udobia, Barr. Bassey Dan Abia and other stakeholders,the Paramount Ruler, His Royal Majesty Ubong Peter Assam, Esit Eket Legislative Council, Royal Fathers, Religious Leaders, Youths, Market Women, Students, Uniform and Voluntary Organizations and the good people of Esit Eket Local Government Area to the event.
Meanwhile, the Council Chairman Right Hon. Iniobong Robson in his congratulatory message to celebrate Akwa Ibom State at 35, wished the state a peaceful and happy celebration.
