The Village Council of Ikpa Town in Esit Eket Local Government Area has approved and wish to discountenance the false allegation peddling around by one Solomon Sunday Etinwa that two transformers had been stolen from the premises of the village head of Ikpa Town, Eteidung Enwangumo Edukere UdoAsubop the third. In a release made available to Heritage Radio and jointly signed by the Village council Chairman ,Prince Joe Friday Eyo and council secretary Inyang Thompson Ekpekang respectively after its meeting on 3rd November,2022, they said the statement is an act of defamation of character and is capable of tarnishing the image and reputation of the village head who had worked and retired from the service of Akwa Ibom State Government.It stated that the report sponsored by Solomon Sunday Etinwa and others who are a descendant group are discarded and without any foundation.The release therefore called on any person, group or government agencies wishing to know deeply on the matter to contact the village council of Ikpa – Town which is the mouthpiece and management agency of the village for explanation.
