Former Minister of State for Works, Dayo Adeyeye, has accused the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, of planning to scuttle the February 25 presidential poll. Speaking in Akure yesterday, Mr Adeyeye said Mr Emefiele was the most controversial CBN governor in Nigeria’s history, by introducing the cashless policy to work against Bola Tinubu of the APC. He specifically lampooned the CBN governor, stressing that swapping policy from the old currencies to the new notes was already taking its toll on Nigerians. The National Coordinator of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju Tinubu , added that the CBN governor has not adhered to the advice given to him on the way forward. Since the introduction of the newly redesigned naira notes, and amid nationwide currency scarcity, many Nigerians have battled to swap currencies.
