The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has scored Akwa Ibom State high on hospitality and rich cultural heritage.
The President and Chairman-in-Council of NIPR, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, announced the recognition during the closing ceremony of a three-day 2022 Directors’ Conference held in Akwa Ibom State at Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort, with the theme: Driving Sustainable Digital Innovation: Future Proofing of Corporate Communications.
Sirajo said Akwa Ibom had been known for its friendly disposition towards visitors and friends of the state, including corporate bodies, like the NIPR.
While extending the appreciation of NIPR to the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ini Ememobong, the President commended the cordial relationship existing between the body and the Ministry of Information and Strategy in the state and the friendly atmosphere enjoyed during the tenure of the commissioner by the institute.
In their remarks, a fellow of the Institute, Mr. Sam Uko and one of the resource persons at the conference, Prof. Peter Esu, Dean, Faculty of Communications and Media Studies, University of Uyo, thanked the NIPR for the sentiments expressed about the state and the Commissioner for Information and Strategy.
