Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, has initiated moves to restore peace in the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Umana set the peace initiative rolling with a stakeholders’ meeting in Uyo.
In his opening remarks, the Minister told the stakeholders that he convened the meeting to initiate dialogue with a view to proffer solution to the lingering crisis.
Mr Umana also noted that it was his intention to get every stakeholder involved in the preparation for the APC presidential campaign rally scheduled for January 12th , 2023.
He urged party stakeholders to cease from dwelling in the past but rather to look at the bigger picture which the future holds for the party in the state.
